About the Position
Local Radius rule: 50 miles, 10% reduction to bill rate
NBO: 16 hrs
EMR: EPIC
OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier
Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum
On Call: $9/hr
Charge/Precept: $6/hr

Scrubs: provided
Avg. caseload – Average 35-50 cases per day. Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes.
Special equipment – 3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don’t do many ortho joints.
How many suites – 16 OR’s. Run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas.
Service lines - Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures.
Scrub or Circulate – both would be preferred.
Other – the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.
Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Orientation Dates: 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16
2+ years of current operating room experience [required]
circulating / operating room experience [required]
scrub experience [preferred]
strong Cardiac, vascular, thoracic proficiency & experience including General Surgery experience [required]
additional experience in the following cases: (General, daVinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, Neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, Vascular) [highly preferred]
EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years [required]
Trauma Level I experience [highly preferred]
No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 12 mos.
Scrub experience needed including open heart scrubbing [highly preferred]
