Mobile App Data Collection & Location Tracking
The Highland Medical Staffing (subdivision of Highland Medical Group, Inc.) mobile application, available on iOS and Android, may collect certain personal and usage data to support essential functionality, improve user experience, and meet regulatory or operational requirements.
Location Tracking
We may collect location information based on the settings of your account and assignment requirements. Location data may be used to:
-
Verify your location when clocking in or out of a shift
-
Confirm you are present at an assigned job site
-
Enable real-time route tracking during scheduled work hours (if enabled by your employer)
-
Trigger location-based notifications (e.g., reminders when arriving at or leaving a job site)

You may disable location services via your mobile device settings; however, doing so will prevent you from using time clock features within the app. Because accurate timekeeping is required for employment and payroll purposes, the ability to clock in and out is essential to working shifts through Highland Medical Staffing. Manual time tracking is not supported in most cases, though alternative arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis with prior approval.
Usage and Device Data
We also collect certain information about how you interact with the app, including:
-
Pages or features accessed (e.g., shifts, credentials, onboarding)
-
Interactions with key tools (e.g., job scheduler, messaging, time clock)
-
Your device type, browser, operating system, and IP address
-
Mobile device identifiers (e.g., UUID)
-
Referral and traffic source data
This data helps us monitor app performance, improve features, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Document Uploads
The app allows users to upload personal and professional documentation (e.g., licenses, certifications, onboarding paperwork) directly to our system. These files are stored securely and used solely for credentialing, compliance, and employment verification purposes.

Third-Party Services
Our mobile app is built in partnership with TeamBridge, a third-party technology provider. Some user data—including location, device, usage, and uploaded documents—may be processed and stored by TeamBridge or other integrated service providers. These third parties are contractually required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information and are only permitted to use it for services on behalf of Highland Medical Staffing.
