About the Position
RN will work in the float pool to provide support to nursing units in which they have
competencies to independently deliver nursing care to patients. Key accountabilities include: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patients’ care and condition based upon observation, examination and other pertinent information. Completes assessment in specified time frame. Identifies and consistently recognizes changes in normal and abnormal parameters in the patient's physiological, psychological, cultural, developmental, and spiritual needs. Implements nursing interventions to achieve progress toward expected patient outcomes or to stabilize a patient's condition and/or prevent complications. Evaluates and documents patients' response to nursing care and modifies or revises treatment plans, and/or contacts physicians as circumstances require. Participates in interdisciplinary patient care planning and evaluates patient progression in preparation for safe discharge. Identifies and completes assessments of patient (family) educational needs. Provides education consistent with patient's level of understanding using existing resources based on diagnosis, treatment plan or prescribed medical regimen.
