About the Position
Day/night rotate by the week. Department/Unit: Osceola Senior Living; Nursing Contract Duration: 8-12 Weeks (with possibility of extension) Shift: 8/12-hour shifts SUMMARY: The Travel Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (RN-LTC) utilizes the nursing process to provide direct, professional nursing care for the LTC resident according to established standards, policies, procedures, licensure, and scope of practice. The RN will work collaboratively with other nursing staff and departments to ensure optimal care for residents in a 46-bed nursing home. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for registered nursing. A minimum of one year of nursing and/or long-term care experience preferred. CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Iowa. Must obtain CPR certification within 3 months of hire date. State of Iowa approved child/dependent adult abuse mandatory reporter training within 6 months of hire. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Resident Care: Accurately document and implement the nursing process to provide resident care. Perform initial and follow-up assessments, assist in developing nursing plans of care, and implement nursing strategies to meet resident outcomes. Continuously evaluate resident progress and adjust interventions as necessary. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work specified hours and shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays). Perform all essential functions satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations if needed. RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS, & STANDARDS: Maintain confidentiality at all times. Work effectively in a team, coordinating with team members to ensure a productive environment. Comply with safety regulations, CMS, and OSHA standards.
