Medical Solutions Prescreens Will not accept any local Clinicians must be at least 50 miles from facility. Medical Solutions Prescreens 36hrs/wk 7p-7a May float as needed. Ortho pt's common on unit. Nights no call start asap Cerner Experience preferred but may train right candidate. CAH experience highly preferred. Required Certs: BLS, ACLS-AHA, PALS-AHA only Orientation: Usually two shifts preceptor on unit Weekend: Requirements: Every Other Weekend Ratios: 1:5, rarely-1:6. 3 nurses scheduled Number of beds: 21 average census 8-10 2yrs experience in specialty required-Must be able to set up and use Bi-Pap Common titratable and/or set rate drips: Cardizem, insulin, heparin Tele Monitors: Mindray monitors and must be able to read own strips Floating Requirement: OB nurses will float to MedSurg/Tele but MedSurg/Tele RN's will not Self Scheduling, Will do block schedules if unit allows at time, Schedules are made about 2wks in advance, 6wks at a time. Common DX: Respiratory issues, pneumonia, wound care, post-op ortho, hip, knee, occasional Gun or urology, FSV, Bronchiolitis, Pediatrics-1-2x/week (experience in peds not required) They only do Cardizem Drips and not very often. The RN's manage them as needed. Critical Access Medical Surgical unit that cares for a broad spectrum of patients, for example: patients on telemetry, cardiac drips, post-surgical, respiratory conditions, Pediatrics, Skilled services to name a few. We would prefer the nurse to be able to recognize a basic cardiac rhythm strip. Bipap isn’t as critical as we have RT and the paramedics and EMT’s can assist with that. If the RN has strong skills I would not be opposed to interviewing them. Scrubs: any color as long as professional HAVE SOME HOUSING LEADS.
